Default State of the Game—November 26, 2007

Shaking Down the Shake-Up

A few things made me laugh:

At this rate, this article may become outdated before it even gets published!

Still, the recent balance changes have gone quite far in addressing key issues that have concerned PvP players for the past few months.

I bet those who know what he is writing about already knew it.

And those who do not know simply do not care. xD

Is remembering Assassins in detail how their horn attacks got nerfed not as superfluos as poking into a seeping wound?

Imagine when the last thing we have to do while waiting for GW2 is such articles! Oh, I am nasty today. :>

Interesting observations of the state of the game. We'll see how people adapt to the changes as more Time passes.

Alas, poor Light of Deliverace. Not merely cowed for being too good, but beaten to death.

You want a skill beaten to death try Energizing Wind. Two nerfs in a matter of a week. First wasn't all that bad, the second nerf didn't just cripple it, I'd say it effectively maimed it beyond all recognition. And no I don't run a RoA in HA. I run a trapper in PvE, very unhappy about how bad this was nerfed. If they'd change the attribute to Expertise it would solve all their issues with it, and not screw over the PvE applications of the skill.

I couldn't agree more. LOL, however they won't admit their blunder for at least a few months. Remember the Soul Reaping Nerf?? Everybody from the start said "No energy return from spirits deaths". Would have solved the problem then and there, instead we get a stupid timer. Took a good 6-7 months to finally implement what was suggested for in the first place.

I simply havnt played the game since the LoD nerf. Obviously it was nerfed because of PVP only, but many hero henchers relied on this skill, particularly LoD mhenlo in GWEN to survive difficult areas in hard mode. I dont even want to play the game anymore knowing that PVE has suffered yet again because of PVP.

Oh look, PvP players concerns are mentioned. Any mention of the PvE players that get consistently f****ed over by these so called 'balances'?

They dont care about how badly the nerf to LoD is going to affect HM PVE, and I honestly cant be bothered to waste my time finding out.

And dont even bother mentioning holy haste. I'm not ditching Aegis and Spirit Bond for that crap.
